Political and economic ties binding Egypt with African countries are "crucial" to attain development in Egypt, affirmed Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. 

The business and investment forum "Africa 2016: Business for Africa, Egypt and the World" is considered an opportunity to brief the African investors on the most important Egyptian projects, he added in exclusive statements to the Egyptian state-owned TV on Sunday. 

Egypt gives top priority to boosting ties with African countries, he said, adding that the forum aims to attain cooperation and integration at the economic and investment levels among the countries of the African continent. 

The African continent is considered a promising market for investors, he added.
