The United States of America, Russia and the United Nations, are holding talks today to prepare for the conference to be held in New York on December 18 by the international community to support Syria. A UN envoy for the crisis in Syria is participating in today's preparatory meeting.

The Geneva preparatory meetings came under the state of security alert because of fears of terrorist attacks, where the venue for holding the talks outside the European headquarters of the United Nations has not been announced so far.
