Tunisian Prime Minister Ali Laarayedh met here with visiting Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Philippe de Fontaine Vive. The EIB is completing 6 projects aimed at enhancing confidence in the investment climate in Tunisia and it is also currently studying implementation of new private investment projects in banking and educational sectors, the European official stated following the meeting. Talks during the meeting dealt with means of developing a long-term plan for rural infrastructure and agro-industries, which represent a source of economic growth for Tunisia, he added. Fontaine Vive affirmed EIB\'s keenness to invest in the energy sector, noting the importance of restoring investor and public confidence for Tunisia to be a model for the success of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
