Turkey's ISIL mandate includes 'military action abroad

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has taken the first step toward mandating the Turkish army to send troops on overseas military missions. The ministry sent a memo to the cabinet to be signed before sending it to parliament for ratification. The Turkish army's mandate to conduct "necessary" military operations in Syria and Iraq will end on October 4. The parliament needs to call for holding an extra-ordinary session to endorse the memo to extend the mandate for another year.
