In an article he wrote for the European Parliament Former Members Association Bulletin, Egemen Bagis stressed that Turkey had become an actor which gave inspiration to the reforms of democratization and modernization in North Africa. Turkey\'s multi-dimensional foreign policy strategy and increasing role in the region implies that the stronger cooperation to be built between Turkey and the European Union would mean better relations between Europe and North Africa.
