Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Wednesday said that the Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots should restart negotiations. Speaking at a joint press conference with his Lithuanian counterpart Dalia Grybauskaite in Vilnius, President Gul said \"let us all be helpful to the Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots over negotiations.\" Answering a question on the \"wise men\" selected to solve the Kurdish issue in Turkey, President Gul stressed that the more individuals, political institutions, and the country\'s important organizations get engaged in the process, the easier it may get to solve any issue. \"This is one way to solve great problems,\" Gul indicated. In regard to a question on an Israeli attack on Gaza on Tuesday night, President Gul underlined that they wished to see Israelis and Palestinians live on their own territories side by side. We find every act wrong which would make co-existence between Israel and Palestine difficult, Gul stated. Answering a question on Syria, President Gul said that they could not say \"no\" to Syrians who fled violence in their country and took shelter in Turkey. \"We will continue to accept all Syrians who wish to live in Turkey,\" Gul also said.
