Turkish security forces have killed 18 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Sirnak province, Southeast of the country, Turkey's NTV television reported on Friday. NTV quoted military sources as saying that Turkish aircrafts shelled posts belonging to the PKK after they obtained information of the whereabouts of the rebels who had been hiding in the province's mountainous areas. Four days ago, the rebels had attacked a Turkish security complex at Beytussebap in Sirnak, which resulted in the killing of 10 Turkish soldiers.
