A Turkish military helicopter belonging to the Turkish army was subject to a fire in Hakkari region, south east of Turkey, sustaining minor damage, but managed to distance itself from the mountainous area and go back safely. The General Staff Command announced in a statement that gunmen suspected to belong to the Kurdistan Labor Party were believed to have fired four bullets last night to the S-70 helicopter of the Turkish armed forces. The statement said the helicopter was able to quickly withdraw from the mountainous area in Hakkari and arrive safely, although sustaining some damage.
