Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu chaired a security meeting to probe a number of issues atop of which fighting terrorism, refugees and internal security conditions following the early parliamentary elections held November 1.

The premier underlined that needed security measures will be taken to guarantee the safety of citizens.

He further expressed his satisfaction of the smoothness of the electoral process which was carried out in an atmosphere of democracy, according to a statement issued by the cabinet.

A decision was made to confront the PKK terrorist organization, while military officials underscored that the Turkish armed forces succeeded in targeting the extremist group in Turkey and northern Iraq, the statement read.
