Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will submit his government's resignation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today afternoon, following the end of the parliamentary polls and the announcement of the unofficial results, according to Khabar Turk TV Station.

Davutoglu will meet Erdogan at the presidential palace afternoon, it added.

Earlier, Davutoglu chaired a meeting yesterday of the Justice and Development (AK) Party to discuss and assess the initial results of the polls and the reasons behind his party's failure to obtain majority in the latest parliamentary elections.
