Turkish security forces on Friday arrested 17 people, including three Turkish teenagers, on suspicion of attempting to join Daesh terrorist group.

They were nabbed in a raid launched by the Turkish Anti-Terrorism Branch in Gaziantep province in southern Turkey.

Investigations are underway with the 17 suspects.

Turkey shares more than 800-kilometer long border with Syria, where thousands of foreign fighters have joined militant groups such as Daesh.
