Turkish President Abdullah Gul met here today with Benin President Thomas Yayi Boni who is currently visiting Ankara. Talks during the meeting dealt with relations between the two countries and matters of mutual concern. At the close of the visit a number of agreements were signed between the two countries in the fields of health, medical science, encouragement of investments, cooperation between ministries and the exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements. Earlier, Benin President met with Turkish Minister of Agriculture Mehdi Eker to discuss the transfer of the Turkish experience in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry as well as the possibility of the establishment of educational instructions related to the agricultural sector in Benin.
