Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, said IDEX 2013, one of the most specialised international exhibitions in the world, has been scoring the successes since its inception in 1993. He added that the exhibition has been growing in terms of participants, volume and quality of products and a number of visitors. "The successes of IDEX reflect the UAE's growing economic and strategic status, thanks to the vision of the UAE leadership," Al Rumaithi said. He noted that the IDEX "represents for us in the UAE and for the decision-makers, as well as military establishments in the sisterly and friendly countries, an ideal opportunity to view the extent of evolution in the defence industries."
