The General Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) organized on Tuesday a meeting on climate on the sidelines of the climate change conference, now held in Paris.

In a press statement, the secretariat said the meeting tackled the union's role in enforcing the Paris Declaration provisions, as well as the role of the Euro-Euro-Mediterranean region in supporting the international efforts on climate.

The gathering praised efforts exerted by the union's experts in the field of climate change.
