British Foreign Office Minister Baroness Anelay said she was appalled by Friday’s attack in Mogadishu on members of the Somali Government and Parliament, which has also caused deaths and injuries to a number of security personnel and civilians.
She said "My thoughts are with the families and friends of all the victims."
"The terrorists who carried out this senseless attack have no role in Somalia’s future and will never achieve their objectives. No terrorist attack can derail the process to bring greater peace and stability to Somalia. We continue to stand in solidarity with the Somali people."
