British Ambassador in Cairo John Casson said Tuesday his country is willing to cooperate with the Egyptian Interior Ministry in its efforts to fight extremism and terrorism.

In a meeting with Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, Casson said London intends to expand cooperation with Cairo in the coming stage, particularly where countering terrorism is concerned.

Abdel Ghaffar welcomed moves to boost cooperation between his Ministry and the security apparatus in Britain, including cooperation in exchanging information about terrorist elements and sharing expertise .
