As many as 300,000 migrants almost Syrians have arrived at southern European countries during the current year 2015, according to statistics of the the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

About 293,000 migrants landed in the European southern borders while the number of migrants who died or went missing hit 2,440 people.

Nearly 43% of the total migrants are Syrians, 12 % are Afghans, 10% are Eritreans and 5% are Nigerians, according to the UNHCR statistics.
