The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned on Thursday the deadly terrorist attacks in North Sinai on Wednesday which have killed several soldiers and injured scores of other.

He conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Egypt.

"The United Nations stands firm with the people of Egypt in their fight against terrorism," he further said.
