UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon received on Friday Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry who is visiting New York.

They discussed regional and international issues of common concern, including the situation in Libya, Yemen and Syria.

They also tackled the growing threats of terrorism and ways to uproot it.
