A worker of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society

UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Sudan Adnan Khan condemned on Monday the attack that led to the killing of three Sudanese Red Crescent workers.
The incident, which took place yesterday, was executed by gunmen after the aid workers handed out humanitarian supplies in Sudan's southeastern Blue Nile state. A fourth worker was also critically injured.
The Sudanese government has limited the activities of international relief organizations in areas controlled by the SPLM-N in Blue Nile and South Kordofan states since the insurgency erupted in 2011.
