Staffan de Mistura, the UN special envoy for Syria, on Friday headed to Vienna to take part in the international talks on settlement of the Syrian crisis, UN spokeswoman said.

Officials from the United States, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon and Turkey, as well as the European Union, are taking part in the talks.
