The United Nations' Special Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar voiced concern on Friday over the recent clashes in Aden city and the deterioration of the security situation in Yemen in general and Aden in particular.
Commenting on the recent clashes in Aden, Benomar asserted the rise of violent acts and attacks, including the airstrikes on the Presidential palace threatening to drag Yemen into more chaos.
He called on the Yemeni government, all political parties and militant groups to immediately stop fighting and hostile acts and exercise maximum restraint to prevent further escalation.
