The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon has welcomed the launching of the national dialogue conference in Yemen. Ban said in a press release issued on Monday and was recited by his spokesperson: \"We welcome the launching of the national dialogue conference in Yemen, which its date coincides with the second anniversary of the\" Friday of dignity in order to remember those who were killed during the peaceful demonstrations on 18 March, 2011.\" He pointed out that the Yemeni people have chosen the path of peaceful dialogue and reconciliation, and” the dialogue represents a historic opportunity for the Yemeni people, youth and women.\" Moreover, Ban pointed that the dialogue conference offers the possibility of involving everyone to come up with solutions for the grievances and complaints, building bridges of trust ,ensuring justice , enhancing human rights and contributing to the country\'s development and prosperity of Yemen. He affirmed that his advisor and special envoy to Yemen Jamal benomar will continue to work with all parties in Yemen and with the Gulf Cooperation Council and the international community to support the success of the transitional phase in Yemen.
