The United Nations expresses its serious concern about the lack of progress in identifying the whereabouts and achieving the release of its staff member, abducted by unidentified gunmen from the vicinity of the Diyala Governorate headquarters building in Baquba on 26 April 2015, and held in an unknown location ever since.

The United Nations, after exerting intensified efforts with the relevant Iraqi authorities to obtain his release, calls on those who are still holding him, to free him without delay.
