Lebanese Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji said on Friday that he was promised by US officials to supply the Lebanese army with six Super Tucano aircraft to fight terrorists.

Speaking to a Lebanese newspaper, Kahwaji said the US will send the jet fighters soon.

He also voiced his satisfaction with the current security situation in the Syrian province of Homs, a border city between Syria and Lebanon.
