An unknown man attacked and killed an employee of National Directorate for Security (NDS) or the country's intelligence agency in Takhar province with Taluqan as its capital 245 km north of Kabul on Monday, police said. "An employee of NDS named Shirin was going to take bath in Taluqan city at 08:30 a.m. local time today when an unknown man snatched his gun opened fire and killed him on the spot," police spokesman in Taluqan city, Abdul Khalil Asir told Xinhua. Asir also said that the attacker had been arrested and investigation is underway to determine the reason for the deadly attack.
