UN special envoy to Yemen ,Jamal Benomar, arrived in Sana’a on Sunday on an official visit to meet with officials in the State and leaders of political parties and organizations. In a statement to Saba, Benomar said “ My 21st visit to Yemen comes within my mission that started in April 2011”. “I will tray to assess the commitment to the resolutions of the Security Council in order to prepare for a report to be submitted to the Council on June 11”, Benomar added. He noted that he will meet with President Abdo Rabbo Mansour and Prime Minister Mohamed Basindwa and a number of officials and leaders of political paries in order to assess the progress in the political process and the national dialogue under the GCC-brokered initiative and its executive mechanism.
