New York - MENA
The UN Security Council (UNSC) will hold an urgent meeting Thursday to discuss the crisis of Burundi.
The crisis erupted after General Godefroid Niyombare, a powerful former intelligence chief, announced he sacked President Pierre Nkurunziza as he unconstitutionally decided to run for presidency for a third term.
The unrest began on 26 April and has led to the deaths of more than 20 people.
