The UN Security Council (UNSC) has voiced concern over the deteriorating situation in Libya and its repercussions for the region.

It condemned the escalation in violence, human rights violations, targeting civilians and civil institutions along with obstructing the work of the financial bodies in Libya.

The UNSC expressed its support for head of the UN Libya Mission Bernardino Leon, and urged all the Libyan factions to tackle the country's security and political challenges through dialogue.
