Syrian President Bashar al Assad can stop the ongoing conflict in Syria now through announcing readiness to hold a serious dialogue with the Syrian opposition, said US Department of State Deputy Spokesperson Jeff Rathke.
Assad has the ability to suspend torture and systematic killing and violence, he went on to say.
He further said that there is a need to return to negotiating table according to Geneva Declaration.
