The United States strongly condemns Thursday’s militant attacks in Egypt's North Sinai, said U.S. State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf.
“We express our sincere condolences to the victims, their families, and the government and people of Egypt,” Harf said in a statement Wednesday.
The United States remains steadfast in its support of Egypt’s efforts to combat terrorism in the Sinai and throughout the country, and we will continue to work closely together to address shared threats to regional security the statement added.
