Turkish police detained a woman suspected of participating in an attack on a US consulate building in Istanbul, Turkey, on Monday, local news channel NTV reported.

The shooting took place in the northernmost district of Istanbul, Sariyer, according to the Daily Sabah newspaper.

One of the attackers is reportedly a woman. Following the incident, local police launched an investigation into the shooting.

No injuries have been reported yet.
