A US congressional delegation reiterated support to efforts taken by Egypt to fight terrorism and achieve development.
In a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of Egypt Economic Development Conference here late on Saturday, the delegation led by Republican Senator Dana Tyrone Rohrabacher, underlined the importance of the Sharm El Sheikh conference in boosting the national economy, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti said.
US Ambassador to Egypt Stephen Beecroft attended the talks.
The delegation said the conference succeeded in conveying a true image on the situation in Egypt.
Shoukry reviewed Egypt's vision towards terrorism, calling for rallying the efforts of the international community to fight such international phenomenon.
The talks also tackled the latest developments in the Middle East, especially the situation in Libya and the importance of boosting the legitimate government and lifting the ban on arms imports, the spokesman said.
