A delegation of US Treasury Department will visit Cairo next month to discuss mutual cooperation in various financial fields, said US Treasury Attache at US embassy in Cairo Céline Senseney.

The remarks were made on the sidelines of the Arab Banking Forum, held by the Union of Arab Banks in Sharm Sheikh.

The delegation will meet Egyptian officials in the banking sector, she said.

She praised a step taken by the Central Bank of Egypt to issue Suez Canal certificates, saying such a step supports financial comprehensiveness in Egypt.

Financial comprehensiveness is an important step to boost financial sectors in any state, she added.
