The U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, was evacuated Wednesday after an envelope containing \"white powder\" was discovered, police said. Stockholm emergency services said a \"white powder\" was found in an envelope sent to the embassy, The Local.se reported. \"I can confirm that there was a white powder in the envelope. It will be analyzed today or tomorrow, but for now, no one knows what it is,\" Stockholm police official Albin Naverberg said. \"Right now, the police are on the scene and they have secured the envelope and are in the process of taking it outside safely.\" Embassy spokesman Jeff Anderson said no known threats have been directed against the diplomatic mission, which employs about 150 people. The number of people who were at the embassy when it was evacuated wasn\'t available. \"There has been a potential security incident that we are investigating and we have temporarily been evacuated,\" Anderson told The Local. \"This happened in the last couple of hours and we are working with Swedish authorities to investigate the incident.\"
