US Special Envoy for Syria Daniel Rubinstein will arrive here Sunday for talks with Russian officials on the situation in Syria.

The Special Envoy will discuss with government officials the need for a sustainable political transition in Syria, spokesman of the US embassy here Will Stevens said.

Russian news agency "Sputnik" reported that Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland arrived in Moscow Sunday to discuss the implementation of the Minsk peace agreements on Ukraine.
