The US and its allies have conducted 24 airstrikes against Daesh targets in Iraq and Syria, the joint task force overseeing the operations said Thursday.

In Iraq, the international coalition jets launched 12 airstrikes on Daesh positions near Baghdad, Beji, Mosul and Ramadi, Radio Sawa reported, citing the joint task force statement.

In Syria, the coalition launched 12 other airstrikes in Hassakeh and Aleppo, it added.
