Warplanes of the US-led coalition on Friday targeted sites of Daesh in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk.

The airstrikes killed around 12 militants of Daesh, including a top leader, and scores others were wounded, said a security source.

Two vehicles belonging to Daesh were also burned.

The targeted sites were used by Daesh to transfer its supplies coming from Mosul and to attack Peshmerga forces.
