The US military has begun air-refueling operations for the Saudi-led coalition conducting airstrikes in Yemen, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
Aerial refueling in this operation to support the Saudis and other members of the coalition has been authorized on a reimbursable basis,” Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters. “So, the nations that receive fuel will pay for their fuel.”
Saudi Arabia launched Operation Decisive Storm against the Houthis on March 26, after Yemen’s ousted president pleaded for support from neighboring Arab countries.
