US Secretary of State John Kerry

The United State will provide more than $68 Million in humanitarian aid to conflict-affected Yemen, Secretary of State John Kerry has said.

This aid is part of international efforts to provide relief to 16 million people, including 300,000 who displaced by the internal conflict in Yemen.

The aid will go to the World Food Programme, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the UN Children's Fund, and other groups for food, water, shelter, medical care, protection, and other assistance, Kerry said during his visit to Djibouti.

The additional aid brings US contributions to humanitarian assistance in Yemen to $188 Million over the past two years.
