US Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Clinton, emphasized her country\'s position rejecting the Palestinians\' bid at the United Nations today in their quest to obtain the status of a UN-nonmember observer state. Mrs. Clinton said that the road to the two-states solution doesn\'t pass via New York but through direct negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Mrs. Clinton, in reply to a question posed by reporters, emphasized that she had said many times that the road to the two-states\' solution to meet the aspirations of the Palestinian people should pass through Jerusalem and Ramallah and not through New York. Clinton reemphasized the USA\'s constant position rejecting the Palestinian request at a time when the Palestinian Authority continues to garner support from Western countries at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The Palestinian Authority was able to win approval from Norway, Spain, France, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland. Both Britain and the United States of America rejected the Palestinians\' step, meanwhile Germany decided to refrain from voting.
