Ann Richard, the US assistant Secretary of State for Refugees, Population and Migration affairs is due to arrive here on Sunday for a two-day official visit to Jordan to get acquainted with the situation of Syrian refugees and the impact of the Syrian crisis locally.A Jordanian source made clear in a statement released here Friday that the U.S. official will proceed later to Kuwait to join U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, who heads his country's delegation at the donors' conference set to begin on next Wednesday. Kerry hopes to monitor aid worth billions of dollar for the Syrian crisis -affected refugees in their country and who are living in the neighbouring countries which were also affected by the crisis at all levels .It is noted that Ann Richard said in a statement before the Committee on the Elimination Subcommittee of the Constitution , civil rights and human rights of the U.S. Senate that more than 2.3 million Syrian, became refugees abroad, although the number of displaced people inside Syria reached more than six million people and called on the U.S. government and society International with the help of neighboring countries affected by the repercussions of the Syrian crisis , also urged donor countries to increase their contributions.
