Venezuela closed its land borders with Brazil and Colombia in the run-up to presidential elections. The borders will remain closed until Monday morning, according to Interior Minister Nestor Reverol. Reverol revealed that the Venezuelan Intelligence Service has obtained information about plans to destabilize the situation in Venezuela ahead of voting. The snap presidential election is due in the Latin American nation this coming Sunday, April 14. The frontrunner in the race is Venezuela\'s Acting President Nicolas Maduro. His rival is the candidate of the opposition Democratic Unity Alliance, Henrique Capriles.
