Voting for the re-election of Irina Bokova for a second term for the post of Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) began Tuesday morning at the headquarters of the organization in Paris. Delegates and representatives of the UNESCO member states, including Egypt, participated in the voting process that took place at a closed session. Members of the 58th executive council decided during their meeting last month to rename the Bulgarian Irina Bokova for a second four-year term for the post of Director-General of the organization.
