Marie Harf

The US believes that ending security cooperation between the Israelis and Palestinians was a mistake, a State Department spokesperson said.
In a daily press briefing, Marie Harf said that no decisions on the resolutions announced by the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Central Council to halt security cooperation with Israel "have been made on how these will be implemented."
"This is obviously a very complicated situation. We continue to urge all parties not to take escalatory measures and believe that security cooperation is something that has benefited both Israelis and Palestinians," she added.
Commenting on Israel's decision to freeze tax revenues due to the Palestinian Authority, Harf said "We have consistently engaged with key stakeholders, including the Israelis, the Palestinians, the EU, the UN, the Russians, the Arab League, and others over the past few weeks on this issue, and we’ll continue to do so."
