South Korea's telecom regulator plans to hand out penalties to the country's three mobile operators for practices that led to overheating of the local market, including a business suspension of one for doling out illegal subsidies and large fines for all three, for industry sources said Monday. Last month, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in the country hit a record high as local mobile carriers lured subscribers with new pay plans and lower prices.
