Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych met here today with Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Abdul Karim Al-Dughmi and his accompanying delegation who are currently visiting Kiev. During the meeting they discussed issues of common interest and the latest developments in the region, particularly developments in Syria and the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis. Relations between Ukraine and Jordan and developments especially in parliamentary, economic and trade, cultural and educational fields also featured in the talks. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov met last night with Al-Doghmi to discuss issues and challenges of security and stability and political changes in the Arab region in light of the Arab Spring and the latest developments in the region, particularly developments in Syrian arena and relations between the two countries.
