The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is to hold a session on Wednesday in Geneva to discuss the regular human rights report on Yemen, as well as reviewing the recommendations and proposals made by the official delegations about the human rights situation in Yemen and the international commitments about it.In a statement to Saba, the Vice President of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and Head of Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) ,Ezzedine Alasbahi, pointed that non-governmental organizations have submitted their reports, which amounted for the first time to seventeen reports, praising in this context the reaction of civil society, which was at the level of responsibility especially in light of the situation experienced by Yemen and the success of the experience of the national dialogue.Alasbahi noted that a parallel seminar to the report of Yemen will be held prior to the formal session at the headquarters of the United Nations, jointly organized by the Arab Network for NGOs ,HRITC and the global network (CIVICUS) with the participation of the FIDH and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, in which a large number of activists from international and Yemeni organizations will partake in.He pointed out that civil society focuses on core files, including the enforced disappearances ,the freedoms of opinion and expression and the formation of an international commission to investigate the events of the popular revolution since 2011.
