Yemen and Britain discussed here on Tuesday the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. This came during the meeting of Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi with Assistant of the British National Security Advisor and his accompanying delegation. The two sides touched on the ways of strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in the security field and combating terrorism and the resumption of the Yemeni Airways flights to London, as well as the developments of the National Dialogue Conference. Al-Qirbi confirmed in the meeting that there is a consensus between the participants in the conference on about 80 percent of the issues on the dialogue agenda. The British delegation members expressed their admiration for the dialogue approach and the distinctive model presented by Yemen, wishing that the dialogue will reach the desired results that meet the ambitions of Yemeni people. On another hand, Dr. Al-Qirbi met in a separate meeting with the British ambassador to Yemen, Nicholas Hopton, on the occasion of ending his tenure in Yemen. Al-Qirbi valued the distinct role of the ambassador in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
