Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met on Saturday the command of the Air Force on the recent crash of a Yemeni warplane. Last Monday, a Russian-made military aircraft (Sukhoi-22) crashed in the southern area of the Yemeni capital while returning from a routine training mission. During the meeting, Mansour ordered the command to present a full report on the repeated crashes of warplanes recently in the country. He asked Air Forces commanders and officers to work out a fast-track plan for scientific and practical alternatives to fend off such incidents. "Air accidents are common worldwide, but unfortunately - here in Yemen - we do not look for causes or address the problem. 'Some' attempt to distort the facts and do damage to the military establishment and the nation as well," he said. However, the Yemeni leader reiterated the country's relentless support to the Air Force personnel, calling on them to remain vigilant against conspiracies targeting the Air Force.
